John J Mcshane

John J McShane Jr., age 84 of Philadelphia passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, December 6, 2020. Born and raised in Philadelphia to the late John and Evelyn (nee McGee) McShane. Also preceded in death by his wife, Marie; son, Joseph; siblings, Evelyn Urban, James McShane and Patricia Johns. John was a veteran of the US Army, member of the VFW and the American Legion. In addition, John was also the founder of the Quaker city English dart league in Philadelphia. John is survived by 4 daughters, Colleen Smith (Jerry), Joann Beam (Harry), Kelly Kohler (Jack), Rosemarie Hesser (Scott); siblings, Robert McShane, William McShane, Joseph McShane, Kathleen Robinson, Mary Ellen Hulbert; grandchildren, Jennifer, Jerry, Harry, Daniel (Joselyn), Ashley; and great grandchild; Valerie. Family and friends are invited to attend a viewing from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. Saturday, December 12, 2020 followed by a funeral mass 11 a.m. at St. Bartholomew Church, Harbison and Cheltenham Ave., Philadelphia, Pa. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Bensalem, Pa. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association
