John Raymond Proulx, 65, U.S. Air Force veteran, May 31, 2016 Born on June 16, 1950 in Philadelphia, PA, John attended St. Clement RC elementary school and was a 1968 graduate of John Bartram High School. John served in the U.S. Air Force and during the years after discharge, attended Spring Garden College graduating on Dean's List. John had a career as a computer information systems consultant for many years and after retirement became a member of the Holsey Temple C.M.E. Church. John also happily volunteered in the Mary L. King Community Food Ministry’s pantry which helps community residents with their food and clothing needs. John is preceded in death by his parents, George Emile Proulx, Jr. and Mary Ellen Proulx (nee Burke). Survived by three brothers, George (Joan), Joseph (Annabelle), James (Joyce), and four sisters, Suzanne, Karen, Debra Fisher (Geoffrey), and Barbara Stewart. Also survived by three nephews, James E., Kevin, and James T., two nieces, Courtney Cariveau (Kelly), and Katelyn, and one Great-Nephew, Hayden. Relatives and friends are invited to join John’s immediate family at McGoldrick Funeral Home, 507 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046 (tel: 215-884-0800), for a Visitation on Thursday, June 16, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. to 11:00 A.M. followed by a brief service with Reverend Arthur S. Green, Pastor of Holsey Temple C.M.E. Church. Immediately following the Visitation, interment will be at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 830 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
