John J. Rizzuto, age 60 of Audubon, Pa passed away at home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, April 22, 2020. John was born in Norristown to the late John M. and Janice A. (nee Nelson) Rizzuto. He was a self-employed general contractor. John was an avid fisherman and skier. He also enjoyed playing softball, tennis, golf, wallyball, and racquetball. He was a Philadelphia sports fanatic, and he utilized his passion for sports to be a beloved coach for his sons’ various sports teams. John is survived by his wife, Jane (nee Roop) Rizzuto, his sons, John M. and Lindsey (nee Holmes) Rizzuto, Josh J. and Christy (nee Carfagno) Rizzuto, James D. and Sandie (nee Peale) Carr, Jeffrey B. and Robin (nee Fiorella) Carr, and Matthew. R. Carr, his brothers, James A. and Kathleen (nee Kindig) and Jeffrey P. Rizzuto, and his grandson, Benson D. Carr. A private burial will be held on Tuesday at Valley Forge Memorial Gardens in King of Prussia. Family will be permitted to pay their respects at 10:30am at the Memorial Gardens. Due to the ongoing pandemic, the Valley Forge Memorial Gardens is only permitting extended family members to pay their respects to the immediate family via drive-by at the cemetery grounds. Attendants will not be permitted to exit their vehicles. We thank you for respecting the cemetery’s precautions and ensuring the safety of the family. In lieu of a post-service gathering, the family will be planning a celebration of life ceremony with a date to be determined at a later time.
