John R. Ruth

John R. Ruth, Sr., 93, of Jeffersonville, PA passed away Thursday, February 12th, 2015 at The Masonic Home in Lafayette Hill. John was born in Bridgeport, PA on September 24, 1921, a son of the late Mabel (Kriebel) and John H. Ruth. He was also preceded in death by his siblings Chet Ruth, Dorothy Krause, and Caroline Morris. John served in the U.S. Navy in WW II. He worked as a Steam Fitter for union 420 for over 60 years. In 1964 he was the Worshipful Master of lodge #620 in Norristown and was a mason for over 70 years. He was a member of the Green Tree Rod and Gun Club in Bradford County and loved to travel and read. He is survived by his loving wife Naomi (McCoy) Ruth, his 3 children Shirley Lake (Edward) of South Carolina, Nancy Miller (Alan) of Stowe, PA, and John R. Jr. of Jeffersonville. He is also survived by his two grandchildren Jason and Amy and his two great grandchildren Abigail and Anna Liese. Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
