John F. Strauss Jr.

John F. Strauss, Jr. passed away on Saturday September 2, 2023, at Einstein Montgomery Hospital in East Norriton, PA. He was 78. He loved camping, especially at PA Dutch campground in Shartlesville. John was a life member of the Fairmount Fire Co. in Norristown, a former member of Good Will Fire Co. in Bridgeport and Lower Providence Fire Co. He was an accountant at Dutch Boy Paint, NL Industries, and Anzon Lead.

Born on October 29, 1944, in Bridgeport, PA., he was a son of the late John F. and Ruth (Wilson) Strauss, Sr.

Surviving are 2 daughters: Karen L. Redcay and Marisa Strauss; 3 grandchildren: Rebecca Redcay, Katherine Redcay and Harper Strauss; nephews: Chuck Watson and Jimmy Watson; nieces: Joyce Watson, Carol Watson-Jowett, Ruth Watson-Godoy; long- time friend Levi Jones, first wife Diane Shaw-Strauss-Ridge, and second wife Susan A. Strauss.

Preceded in death by a daughter, Susan J. Strauss; sister, Joan Watson, nephews: Earl Watson and Jerry Watson; and son-in-law, Steven Redcay.

Services will be private at the request of the family.
