John J Valincius, Jr.

John Joseph Valincius, Jr., Audubon, PA is son of Mary (Interrante) from Norristown, PA and John Valincius of Mt. Carmel, PA, died unexpectedly on February 5, 2014.  He was 71.  John is survived by his wife of 51 years, Doris Marie Valincius.  They are the loving parents of: John Joseph Valincius III spouse of Ron Axsom, Joseph Michael Valincius (Deceased) spouse of Colleen Graham and Dawn Marie Valincius-Golas wife of Walter Golas. John was the most awesome grandfather of Brittany Golas (Roland Young), Bryan Golas (Monica Laidley), Shawn Golas, Harley Graham and Chloe Graham. He is survived by his brother and sisters, Rosemary Fulmer wife of Arthur, Rosalieanne Tambourino wife of Monte, Dolores Trecrose wife of Ted, Sandra Murray wife of Frank and Robert Valincius.  John is also survived by brother in law, Charles Sudhop and his wife of Barbara, Robert Sudhop and his wife Karen and his sister in law, Janet Maguire and many nieces and nephews. An avid hunter and fisherman he hunted and fished throughout the year locally and enjoyed travel to western states and Alaska for big game hunts.  His nature inspired taxidermy art hangs in thousands of homes, businesses and museums.  John was a lifetime member of the Lower Providence Rod and Gun Club.  He was the long time president of Orchard Mill Sportsman’s Club, Weatherly, PA.  He also enjoyed membership in several other local hunting and fishing organizations including Chester Valley Deer Management Association. His favorite casino game was blackjack at Valley Forge where he said he often won—or not. After 37 years at the Philadelphia Gear Corporation, he retired in 2001. A public viewing is scheduled for Sunday, February 9, 2014 11 am to 1 pm at Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, 101 N. Park Ave., Norristown (Rt. 363 Trooper), PA.  All are welcome.  Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to “John’s Grandchildren College Fund” c/o TD Bank, 2623 W. Park Ave. Norristown (Rt. 363 Trooper), PA.  A funeral service will follow at 1 PM at the funeral Home.  Interment will be private.
