John G. Weigelt

John G. Weigelt age 78 of Lower Providence passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013  surrounded by his family at Einstein Medical Center, Montgomery.  Born in Bridgeport to the late John E. and Elizabeth (Shaffer) Weigelt. He is also preceded in death by a sister, Betty Ann Weigelt.  John joined the National Guard during high school and then signed up with the Navy and served during the Korean War.  He worked with Norristown Wholesale as a truck driver for 37 years before retiring in 1997.  He enjoyed painting, crafts and spending time with his wife down the shore in Cape May. He is survived by his beloved wife, Barbara (Hoffman) Weigelt; 2 sons, Christopher J. (Lisa) of N. Coventry and Eric V. (Sharon) of Skippack;  3 brothers, James (Susan), William (Joan) and Robert and a sister, Jennifer Heim (Jeff).  4 grandchildren, Sam and Rhiannon Weigelt and Shelby and William Latter.  Services will be held Private.
