Joseph Gabriel Bevilacqua

Joseph Gabriel Bevilacqua passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 13th, 2023. He was 65 years old and was a resident of Wayne, PA. He worked in Security for Wyeth/Pfizer for many years. In his retirement he opened two cafés with his wife and son. Joseph enjoyed talking with commuters, and especially enjoyed Friday nights where local musicians performed and patrons enjoyed light dinner fare prepared by Joseph.

Born in Pennadomo, Chieti, Italy on June 5th, 1958. He was the son of the late Argentino Bevilacqua and Vincenza Lucci.

Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 40 years, Jovanna Acchione Bevilacqua, his son, Fabio Argentino Bevilacqua, his sister, Nicolina Bevilacqua, his devoted brother and sister in-laws, and beloved nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his son, Donato “Danny” Joseph Bevilacqua. Joseph took pleasure in bringing his family together around the dinner table. Whether it was a Sunday dinner with family or a spontaneous evening with friends, his door was always open.

In his retirement he enjoyed the company of his friends while playing bocce at Bridgeport Bocce League, Holy Savior Club, Norristown Bocce Club and the Pompano Beach league in FL. Joseph was a member of the Order Sons of Italy John B. Acchione Lodge 311 and a member of the Men of Malvern Retreat House. Joseph was a lifelong soccer player, avid fan of Italian soccer, and a youth coach for many years.

Joseph’s family will receive relatives and friends at the Bruckmann Memorial Chapel of St. Joseph, located on the campus of Cabrini University, 610 King of Prussia Rd., Radnor, PA 19087, on Saturday, September 16, 2023 from 11am to 12pm, with his Funeral Mass starting at 12pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Danny & Joseph Bevilacqua Memorial Scholarship Fund, 470 Woodhill Rd., Wayne, PA 19087.
