Joseph Anthony Casacio, Jr. P.E., P.L.S. Joseph Anthony Casacio, Jr., 68, of Jenkintown, Pennsylvania and Ocean City, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. III, daughter, Christina, son-in-law, Eric, beloved grandson, Nicolas, sisters, Joanne Regli, Barbara Remaley, Mary Lynne Henry, Joy Nash, and brother, Stanley, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Joe was born in Philadelphia on September 14, 1948, the namesake and son of the late Joseph Anthony Casacio, Sr. He was also predeceased by his dear mother, Verna Mae (Rizzuto) Casacio. After graduating from Valley Forge Military Academy, Joe went on to graduate from Christian Brothers University in Memphis, Tennessee where he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. Soon after, Joe expanded upon the dream of his father by successfully leading the family real estate development business for nearly four decades. He held various officer positions including president. His greatest talent and love was construction. Joe was extremely detail oriented and was involved in every aspect of a project from planning to successful completion. He also served as a director on boards of various corporations and associations. Joe enjoyed traveling, reading mystery novels on the beach, riding his bike on the boardwalk, playing his guitar, and snow skiing. He had a passion for classic and collectible automobiles, often participating in car rallies throughout the U.S. and Europe with Carole. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his family, especially “cruising” in the ‘62 corvette with his grandson, Nicolas.
