Joseph L. Clark, Jr.

Joseph L. Clark, Jr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, February 20, 2010, surrounded by his loving family at his residence in King of Prussia, PA. He was 83. Mr. Clark worked as a master carpenter. He was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia. Joseph was also a member of the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Co. for over 25 years and a volunteer with Lafayette Ambulance. He loved to build furniture and puzzles. Mr. Clark was a US Navy veteran of WW II. Born in Bryn Mawr, PA on February 4, 1927, he was a son of the late Joseph L. Clark, Sr. and Ruth (Eagleson) Clark. He was the husband of the late Maureen H. (Dannaker) Clark, who died in August of 2001. Surviving are his loving family including three sons, Joseph R. Clark and his wife, Susan of Chester Springs, PA, David R. Clark and his wife, Sophie of Pottstown, PA and Richard H. Clark and his wife, Linda of King of Prussia, PA; two daughters, Patricia A. Oelschlager and her husband, Alan of Stewart, FL and Nancy R. Langan of Phoenixville, PA; five grandchildren: Alan Jr., Jennifer, David, Alexander and Allison; two great-grandchildren, Zachary and Zoey; two brothers, James Clark and his wife, Caroline of Pinehurst, NC and Robert Clark and his wife, Christine of Audubon, PA; a sister, Mary Nardi of Glen Mills, PA; and many nephews and nieces. Relatives & friends are invited to his Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Thursday, February 25, 2010 at 10:00am. Officiating will be the Rev. Msgr. John T. Conway, Pastor. Friends may call on Thursday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family in St. Denis Cemetery, Havertown, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to the American Cancer Society, 1626 Locust St., Philadelphia, PA 19103Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA. www.bacchifuneralhome.com
