Joseph H. Fryday, Sr.

Joseph H. Fryday, Sr. passed away peacefully on Friday, July 26, 2013 at Towne Manor East in E. Norriton, PA. He was 82. Mr. Fryday was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a steel worker for the former Merion Tube in King of Prussia, PA and the former Handy & Harmon in E. Norriton, PA. Joseph was a member of St. Augustine R.C. Church in Bridgeport, PA. He was also a life time member of Bridgeport Fire Co. #1, where he was a past financial secretary, he served on the board of engineers, the house committee, and numerous other committees of the fire company.Born in Norristown, PA on September 23, 1930, he was a son of the late Harry L. and Vera (Morris) Fryday. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 58 years, Simone (Getsick) Fryday; two sons, Joseph H. Fryday, Jr. and his wife, Jeanne, of Limerick, PA and Michael H. Fryday, his daughter, Gabrielle, and his fiancée, Dawn Myers and her children, Stephanie, Christopher and Jessica, of Pitman, NJ; and many nephews and nieces. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dogs, Nelson and Duke.Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph's Committal Service in the mausoleum at Riverside Cemetery, 200 S. Montgomery Ave., W. Norriton, PA on Thursday, August 1, 2013 at 11:00 am.
