Joseph A. Gambino Jr. passed away peacefully on Monday, August 16, 2010 at Mercy Suburban Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. He was 67. Mr. Gambino was a resident of E. Norriton, PA. He worked as a supervisor for Peco Energy. Joseph was a member and commander of the VFW Post 7878 in King of Prussia, PA and a social member of the Swedeland Fire Co. Mr. Gambino was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam Era.Born in Norristown, PA on May 17, 1943, he was a son of the late Joseph A. Sr. and Anna (Molinelli) Gambino. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of 5½ years, Marjorie A. (Johns) Gambino; a son, Joseph A. Gambino, III and his wife, Elizabeth of Horsham, PA; a step-son, David C. Salkowski of Philadelphia, PA; a step-daughter, Carla Hagenkotter of Pottstown, PA; 2 grand-children, Joseph A. IV and Francesca; 4 step-grandchildren: David A., Tyler, Will and Sarah; a sister, Mary Lupo of W. Norriton, PA; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Maryanne (Dwyer) Gambino, who died in 2000; 2 brothers, Ralph and John Gambino; and a sister, Dolores Fragale. Relatives and friends are invited to his Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 8:00pm. His viewing is Thursday evening from 6 to 7:50pm, at the funeral home. Interment will be private at the request of the family.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post 7878, 471 E. Church Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406.
