Joseph A. Genuario passed away peacefully on Monday, January 9, 2012, surrounded by his loving family at ManorCare Health Services in King of Prussia, PA. He was 88. Mr. Genuario was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. He was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and the Knights of Columbus #3327, both in Bridgeport, PA.Joseph attended the University of Scranton and received a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering. He worked as an electrical engineer for 25 years for the former General Electric in King of Prussia, PA, where he was space segment program manager for the Nimbus, LandSat and UARS satellite programs. He retired in 1986 and continued to play tennis, help his children with their home projects and enjoy the life of a grandparent â€" he will truly be missed. Mr. Genuario was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving from 1943 to 1946 in the Asiatic Pacific Theatre of Operations. He also participated in the US Air Force Reserve program until he retired as a Lieutenant Colonel in 1971. Born in Dunmore, PA on March 18, 1923, he was a son of the late Donato and Amalia (Palucci) Genuario. Surviving is his loving family including his wife of 61 years, Mary R. (Cavalieri) Genuario; three sons: Mark A. Genuario and his wife, Marie of Collegeville, PA, Paul R. Genuario and his wife, Julie of Gilbertsville, PA and Daniel J. Genuario and his wife, Rosemary of Gilbertsville, PA; seven grandchildren: Daniel J., Nicholas, Maria, Jessica, Joseph, Gabrielle and Domnick; and many nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by three brothers: Will, Ralph and Victor Genuario; and three sisters: Lucy Genuario, Ann Vaccaro and Mary Pusatari. Joseph's Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St. Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Friday, January 13, 2012 at 11:00am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Friday morning from 10 to 10:50am, at the church. Entombment in St. Patrick's Cemetery Mausoleum, E. Norriton Twp., PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joseph's memory to Upper Merion Twp. Library, 175 W.
