Joseph F. Heyse passed away peacefully on Friday, May 31, 2019 at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, PA at the age of 67. He was a resident of North Wales, PA and worked as a Biostatistician at Merck & Company, Inc. for 42 years. Joe received his B.S. in mathematics in 1973 and M.S. in statistics in 1975 from Villanova University and M.B.A. in Economics from Temple University in 1979. He was selected to participate in the MRL Doctoral program in 1984 and received his Ph.D. in Statistics from Temple University the following year. He was elected Fellow of the American Statistical Association in 1997. He loved going down the shore with his family and he sure did love drinking his coffee. Joe was the beloved husband of Lillian T. (Filandino) Heyse for 39 years. He was a wonderful husband and father, who just adored loving and caring for his girls, Angelina Heyse and Gabby Heyse. Born in Jenkintown, PA on March 5, 1952, he was a son of the late Walter A. and Frances M. (Curvan) Heyse. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Lillian; two daughters, Angelina and Gabby; sisters-in-law, Mary Heyse and Marie Picard (Gregory); a niece, Allison Miller (Chris); nephews, Matthew Heyse and Bryan Russo (Laura); as well as many other family members. In addition to his parents, Joe is also preceded in death by his brother, Walter “Wally” J. Heyse. Joe’s viewings will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2019 from 6 to 8 p.m. at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb Street (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405 and Friday, June 7, 2019 from 10 to 10:50 am, at St. Rose of Lima Church, 425 S. Pennsylvania Avenue, North Wales, PA 19454, with Funeral Mass immediately following at 11 a.m. Interment in Calvary Cemetery, Gulf Road and Matsonford Road, West Conshohocken, PA 19428.
