Joseph P. Kelly

Kelly Joseph P.  January 22, 2011 of Holmesburg. He was dearly loved and will be truly missed by his family, friends and the many lives he touched.  He was a loving and devoted father and hero to his baby Megan.   He is father of 11 other children & has several grandchildren and was brother to 3 siblings.  Joe was a member of Holmesburg Fish & Game where he was head of security.  He was a Sgt. in the 1st Marine Division 5th. Regiment and proudly served in the Korean War where he received 3 purple hearts.  Joe is a former Phila. Police officer who was injured in the line of duty.  He worked for the City of Phila Redevelopment Authority as a Master Plumber and was a member of local 690.  Relatives and Friends are invited to his viewing Friday 9:30-10:50 AM    at St. Leo the Great Church 6658 Keystone St. Phila., PA 19135.   Funeral Mass 11 AM.  Interment at Resurrection Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers Donations in his memory to St. Jude Children's Hospital 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 appreciated.   Condolences: www.MeyersFH.com
