Joseph “Joe” Patrick Kenney Joseph Patrick Kenney, 84, of Hatboro, PA and formerly of Lansdale, PA, Kingwood, TX, & Blue Bell, PA, passed away Saturday, February 27, 2021 surrounded by his loved ones at home from complications due to Parkinson’s Disease. Joe was born in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, PA on September 5, 1936, son of the late Helen Margaret (Reilly) and Charles Joseph Kenney. Falcon faithful always, Joe graduated from North Catholic High School. He proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War. Joe graduated from La Salle University in Philadelphia, PA with a Bachelor of Science in Business and Fairleigh Dickinson University in Madison, NJ with a Master of Business Administration. He was a Senior Purchasing Manager who retired from Augusta Aerospace in Philadelphia, PA. and prior to that had worked with ARAMCO in Houston, TX as well as Johnson & Johnson in East Raritan, NJ. Aside from times spent with family & friends, Joe always enjoyed Philadelphia sports and their accompanying championships at all levels, travelling anywhere, Jersey Shore summers, The Mummers, Frank Sinatra, Neil Diamond, great meals, and he continued to be an involved “Friend of Bills’” in the Philadelphia, PA & the Houston, TX areas for the past 47 plus years. Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 57 years Katherine “Kay” (nee Lydon). His children and grandchildren Thomas (Christine) (Larkin, Finnegan, Declan, & Cormac), Patrick (MaryAnn), Michael (Donna) (Matthew & Ryan), and Kathleen. Joseph was preceded in death by his brother Charles and his sister Helen (Butzloff). Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing from 9:30 AM until 10:15 AM where following a Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 AM both on March 4, 2021 at Immaculate Conception BVM Church 602 West Ave, in Jenkintown, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Michael J Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research www.michaeljfox.org/donate and or The Parkinson’s Foundation www.parkinson.org Interment with full military honors will take place at Washington Crossing National Cemetery in Newtown, PA on Friday March 5, 2012 at 10:00 am.
