Joseph Byron Makins, Jr.

Joseph Byron Makins, Jr, 72, of Spring City, passed away on Saturday November 18, 2017. Born July 14th, 1945 in Johnstown, PA, he was the son of the late Joseph B. Makins, Sr. and Mae (Bowen) Makins. He graduated from Adams-Summerhill High School and served in the Air Force during the Vietnam War where he received an honorable discharge in 1970. He is survived by his three children, Joseph (Melissa) Byron Makins III; Monica (Lester) Ann Seiders; and Arthur (Terri) Scott Makins; six siblings: Joan (Hobert) Moyer, James (Vicki) Makins, Edward (Maria) Makins, Allan (Suzanne Oelmann) Makins, Sandra (William) Moyer, and preceded in death by Susan (Thomas) Denner; 7 grandchildren: Shane, Dustin, Justin, Cody, Jenna, Jaimi and Luke; 2 great grandchildren: Mae and Jada.
