Joseph R. Mccann

Joseph R. McCann of Elkins Park, PA, passed away peacefully in his home on January 22, 2016 after a valiant battle with cancer.  Joe is survived by his beloved daughter, Maura Rose. Preceded in death by his parents, Patrick J. and Cecelia Cooke McCann, and his brother, John J., he is also survived by his brothers Michael (Lucinda) and James (Malinda); numerous nieces and nephews; his friend and former wife, Eileen; and countless friends and colleagues from his Alma Mater, Penn State, from his career in the hospitality industry, and from many childhood friends from his hometown of Ebensburg, PA. Services celebrating the life of Joseph R. McCann will be held Saturday, January 30, at St. James Roman Catholic Church, 8320 Brookside Rd., Elkins Park, PA, 19027. Maura Rose and the family will receive guests at 11 a.m. followed by Memorial Mass at 12 p.m.   In lieu of flowers, gifts to the Joseph and Maura McCann Family Trustee Scholarship in Hospitality Management can be sent to Penn State's Office of Development, c/o The College of Health and Human Development, 325 Health and Human Development Building, University Park, PA 16802 with reference "In memory of Joe McCann."   Services celebrating the life of Joseph R.
