Joseph J. Mcmahon

Joseph J. McMahon passed away peacefully on Monday, March 21, 2016, surrounded by his loving family at his niece’s home in Pine Hill, NJ. He was 92. Mr. McMahon was formerly of Philadelphia, PA. He worked as a technician for the former Philco Electronics in Philadelphia. Joseph was a member of St. Simon Stock Parish Church in Berlin, NJ. He was a US Army Air Force veteran of WW II. Joseph served as a Corporal from 1942 to 1946 in the European and African Campaigns. He loved playing golf and played until he was 90 years old. Born in Philadelphia, PA on August 5, 1923, he was a beloved son of the late Francis J. and Michaelina (Kalita) Hamilton. He was the husband of the late Marie (Ferroni) McMahon. Surviving is his family including two sisters-in-law, Helen Betty Hamilton and Regina Hamilton; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by a son, Joseph McMahon; and two brothers, Raymond and Francis Hamilton. His caretakers were Raymond and Diana Menear. Relatives and friends are invited to Joseph’s Prayer Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:00 pm.
