Joseph H. Morio, Sr. passed away on Thursday, July 2, 2015. He was 93 years old. Joe was a resident of King of Prussia, PA. Joe was born in Philadelphia, PA on February 22, 1922 to Harry and Blanche (Underkofler) Morio. He is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Dorothy (Kelly); a daughter, Diane (William) Jamison of King of Prussia, PA; a sister, Helen (Morio) Stewart of Brea, CA; three grandchildren: Wil and Ian Robinson, and Neve Morio; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Joseph H. Morio, Jr.After an apprenticeship at Yale & Towne, Joe became a toolmaker and worked at Philco in Philadelphia. He founded a machine tool sales company, S.A.M. Sales, in King of Prussia. For over 60 consecutive years, Joe attended the annual retreat at Malvern Retreat House, St. Joseph's in the Hills. Joe served in the US Army Air Corps during WWII as an armorer and gunner in B17s and B29s. Joe was an active member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA, a member of the Knights of Columbus, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7878 in King of Prussia, PA. Most importantly, Joe was a loving husband, father, brother, and friend.Joseph's Funeral Mass will be held at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Road in King of Prussia, PA on Thursday, July 9, 2015 at 10:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Martin Cioppi, pastor. The family will receive relatives and friends from 9 to 10:20 AM, at the church.
