Joseph Rudolph “Pop” Nagele, Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 8, 2017, at Season’s Hospice in Phoenixville, PA. He was 93. Mr. Nagele was a resident of Royersford, PA and was formerly of Somers Point, NJ. He worked as a Claims Manager for the Pennsylvania Railroad for 50 years. Joe enjoyed fishing, Pinochle and baking pies, especially lemon meringue. He was a US Army veteran of WW II, serving as a Corporal from 1943 to 1945 in Italy. Born in Philadelphia, PA on June 6, 1923, he was a son of the late John W. and Evelyn (Rudolph) Nagele. He was the husband of the late Janet (Underwood) Nagele. Surviving is his loving family including two sons, Joseph R. Nagele, Jr. and his wife, Loraine, of Linfield, PA and William J. Nagele and his wife, Anne, of Sewell, NJ; three grandchildren: Tracie Hentschel and her husband, William, Brian Nagele and his wife, Catherine and William Nagele; five great-grandchildren: Jack, Justin & Matthew Hentschel, Natalie Nagele and Julianna Nagele; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John & Robert Nagele; and two sisters, Marion Neumeyer and Evelyn Mason. Relatives and friends are invited to Joe’s Funeral Service at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 7:30 pm. His viewing is Wednesday evening from 6 to 7:15 pm. Interment will be private in Rosedale Memorial Park Inc., Oakford. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Joe’s memory to the Shriners Hospital for Children, 3551 N.
