Joseph F Py

Joseph E. Py, of Trooper, passed away on May 23 at Suburban Woods Nursing Home in Norristown. Joe was  the son of Frances and Dr. Joseph Py and was raised in the Roxborough section of Philadelphia . His wife Helen predeceased him in 2004 . He was involved in numerous business ventures throughout his life and had lived in Trooper for the past 45 years. He was a regular communicant of Visitation BVM church in Trooper.    He is survived by his sister Mary Custer of Medford Lakes, NJ ,daughter Michelle and friend Lee Rasmey of Upland, PA, son Joseph and his wife Jane Sloven of Portland, ME, son Jeff and his wife Joanne of Harleysville, PA , their children Brandon and wife Aimee of Yaphank, NY, Jordan and wife Marissa of  Summerville, S. Carolina, Kieran and wife Lindsay of  Bayshore, NY , Toska and her husband Michael McLaughlin of Harrisburg , son Jamie, his wife Lynn  and their children Haley, Taylor, Griffin and Emily all of Portland, ME. He is also survived by great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.   A vigil will take place from 8:45 am until 9:45 am, Thursday, May 26, 2016 followed by a Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. at Visitation BVM church, 196 N.Trooper Rd., Norristown. Internment will take place at Westminster Cemetery, Belmont Hills, PA.   Arrangements entrusted to Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home. Condolences may be made by visiting www.meyersfh.com.
