Joseph Santangelo

Joseph Santangelo passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 7, 2016 at his residence in Upper Darby, PA. He was 79. Joseph worked as a union carpenter. He was a US Air Force veteran. Joseph made many wood carvings, including a piece for the White House. He was a member of the Art League in Delaware. He enjoyed the beach, crabbing, judging sand castles, and cat fishing in the Schuylkill River. Joseph’s favorite things were traveling and having breakfast with his grandchildren. Born in Bridgeport, PA on July 7, 1936, he was a son of the late Joseph and Anna (Williams) Santangelo. Surviving is his loving family including his wife, Pamela (Loyns) Santangelo; four sons: Joseph A. (Laura) Santangelo of Flourtown, PA, Stephen J. Santangelo of South Bend, Indiana, David M. (Natalie) Santangelo of Bridgeport, PA and Thomas M. (Jessica) Santangelo of Bridgeport, PA; a daughter, Catherine J. (Craig) Hauck of E. Norriton, PA; and seven grandchildren: Salvatore J., Gabrielle R., Michael J., Bryan S., Dana E., David M. and Andrew R. Joseph’s Memorial Service will be held at The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA on Saturday, January 16, 2016 at 12 noon. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10 to 11:50 am, at the funeral home. Interment private.
