Josephine L. Boccella

Josephine L. (Biscotti) Boccella, formerly of Jeffersonville, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 2, 2015 at Grand View Hospital in Sellersville, PA. She was 89. Mrs. Boccella was a graduate of the former Bridgeport High School, Class of 1943 and was active in their reunions. She was a charter member of Visitation B.V.M. Church in Trooper, PA and was active in many of their organizations including the Woman’s Guild and Legion of Mary for over 30 years. Josephine enjoyed reading, sewing, church work and spending time with her family and friends. Born in Bridgeport, PA on November 6, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Gesullo) Biscotti. She was the wife of the late Samuel P. Boccella, who died on September 2, 1982. Surviving is her loving family including four children: John (Sandy), Maria (Tom) Moynihan, Diane (Rob) Greve and Teresa (Chris) Falkler; twelve grandchildren: John, Diana, Lisa, Jackie, Michelle, Monica, Bobby, Michael, Tommy, Valerie, Erica and Tanner; one great-grandson, Elijah; a sister, Rose Marie (Ed) Salkowski; and many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by seven brothers and five sisters. Josephine’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Trooper, PA on Tuesday, September 8, 2015 at 10:30 am. The family will receive relatives & friends on Monday evening from 6 to 8:00 pm at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA; also Tuesday morning from 9 to 10:20 am, at the church. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Josephine’s memory to Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Trooper, PA 19403.
