Josephine Caranci

Josephine Caranci (Cannizzaro) 107 of North Cape May, New Jersey passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Baltimore, Maryland on June 9, 1912. Her family relocated to South Philadelphia where she resided with her parents and 10 siblings until getting married, then moved to Bensalem. Josephine was known for her homemade pizza, cooking, baking, crocheting and she loved to dance and be with her family. Josephine was preceded in death by her loving husband Ernest Caranci, her parents, siblings and her daughter Frances Restivo. Josephine is survived by her daughter Diana and son in law Bill Leaman. Her daughter Marie (Don) Miele. Josephine is also survived by 13 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, 23 great great grandchildren along with many nieces and nephews. She is reunited in heaven with her husband, family, friends and (her dog) Marley. Services will be held privately due to Covid 19 and we will celebrate her life at a later date. Presiding over her service will be Rev. Mother Lisa from St. Barnabas Present Day Episcopal Church.
