Josephine F. (Licata) Boccella

Josephine F. (Licata) Boccella passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 9, 2014 at Regina Nursing Center in Norristown, PA. She was 95. Mrs. Boccella was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. She was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA and worked as a seamstress for the former H. Freeman Co. in Norristown and the Bridgeport Pants Co. in Bridgeport. Mrs. Boccella was born in Norristown, PA on November 22, 1918, a daughter of the late Michael and Accusta (Caracppa) Licata. She was the wife of the late former Bridgeport Boro Councilman, Samuel J. Boccella, who died in 1979. Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Joyce A. Scheier of Bridgeport, PA; two sons, Joseph A. Boccella of Birdsboro, PA and Samuel J. Boccella of Swedesburg, PA; ten grandchildren: Raymond S., Robert, Kristine, Amy, Gina, Kristen, Sam, Shad, Joseph and Stephanie; fourteen great- grand-children; a sister, Katherine Salamone; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by many brothers and sisters. Relatives and friends are invited to Mrs. Boccella's Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Worship Site, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Wednesday, August 13, 2014 at 10:30am. Her viewing will from 9am to 10:20am, at the Worship Site. Interment will be in St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Regina Nursing Center, 550 E.
