Joyce C. Barracliff, 80, of Pennsville, NJ, passed away peacefully at her home on February 18, 2020. Born in Atlantic City, NJ, she was predeceased by her parents, Walter and Mary Compton of Atlantic City, NJ, and her brother, Gene Compton of Northfield, NJ. After graduating from Atlantic City High School in 1957, she relocated to Pennsville, NJ, where she resided for the next 60 years. She was a dedicated and loving mother to three sons. Joyce was active in the community as a Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader, President of the PTA, and a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star. She was also a beautician and proprietor of Roma Hair Fashions in Pennsville. Known as Joysea to many, she will always be remembered for her outgoing, positive, warm, and vivacious personality. Joysea had a deep and enduring love for her family and friends. She and her husband traveled extensively in their fifth wheel and looked forward to spending summers at the Jersey shore and snowbirding each winter in Miami, FL. She always had a smile on her face and brought joy to everyone she met. Joyce is survived by her devoted husband of 44 years, LeRoy Barracliff, of Pennsville, NJ, along with her three sons, Rich Barbera and wife, Michele, of Newark, DE; Frank Barbera and wife, Debbie, of Pennington, NJ; Michael Barbera of Galloway, NJ. She is also survived by five grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, three stepchildren and their families, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews. Her husband and sons will honor Joyce’s request for a private memorial ceremony. They intend to hold a celebration of her life, open to her friends and family, with the date and location to be announced.
