Judith C. Mcmonigle

Judith C. “Judy” (Ginty) McMonigle passed away peacefully on Monday, January 25, 2016, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Malvern, PA. She was 76. Mrs. McMonigle was a former resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked as a Librarian for Mother of Divine Providence School in King of Prussia, and also helped to start the after school program. CARES. Judy was a member of Mother of Divine Providence Church in King of Prussia, PA. She enjoyed playing bridge, traveling and spending summers at the shore in Cape May, NJ. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren. Born in Philadelphia, PA on January 18, 1940, she was a daughter of the late William and Ida (Kirk) Ginty. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 54 years, Thomas E. McMonigle; a son, Thomas E. (Susan) McMonigle, Jr. of Audubon, PA; 4 daughters: Suzanne (Christopher Morris) McMonigle of Wayne, PA, Meredith A. (Eric Martin) McMonigle of Durham, NC, Captain Carolyn (Merrill) Rice, USN of Pensacola, FL and Julie A. (Dean) Seman of Paoli, PA; 13 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, William (Marty) Ginty of Newtown, PA and Paul (Sally) Ginty of Riverside, NJ; a sister, Nona Hammer of Ocean Grove, NJ; and many other loving family members. She was preceded in death by a sister, Beatrice Cornett. Judy’s Funeral Mass will be celebrated at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 9 to 9:50 am at the church. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, West Conshohocken, PA. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s memory to support Dr. Janos Tanyi’s research in ovarian cancer at Penn Medicine’s Abramson Cancer Center and sent to Penn Medicine Development, 3535 Market St., Suite 750, Philadelphia, PA 19104.
