Judith “Judy” (Johnson) Palmer, of Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania, passed away on May 27, 2026, at the age of 89. Born on November 22, 1936, in Philadelphia, she was the beloved daughter of Thomas and Helen (Schroeder) Johnson.
Judy graduated from Germantown High School and later attended Pierce Junior College in Philadelphia. She devoted her life to being a homemaker and a loving mother to her three children, creating a home filled with warmth, laughter, and care.
Judy found joy in many interests and hobbies throughout her life, including quilt making, knitting, birding, and was a voracious reader. She especially loved attending musical performances, with a special fondness for the Philadelphia Orchestra, and she greatly adored church music.
In their later years, Judy and her husband, Richard, delighted in traveling the world together, especially enjoying cruises and their many memorable trips to Hawaii.
She will be remembered for her infectious laugh, her wonderful sense of humor, and the genuine interest she took in the lives of her grandchildren, always keeping track of their many accomplishments.
Judy is survived by her sister, Joanne Hunter; her children, James and Elizabeth; and numerous grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Palmer, and her son, Robert Palmer.
Those wishing to honor Judy’s life and legacy are invited to attend a Religious Service on Saturday, June 13, 2026, at 10:00 AM. The service will be held at All Hallows Episcopal Church, located at 262 Bent Road in Wyncote, Pennsylvania, with Reverend Chris Exley officiating. Following the service, an inurnment will take place at All Hallows Episcopal Church. Reception to follow in the Parish House.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the All Hallows Organ Restoration Fund
