Julia D. (D'Ambrosia) Gilette passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 26, 2010 at her son's residence in Glassboro, NJ. She was 85. Mrs. Gilette was a resident of Glassboro and was formerly of King of Prussia, PA. She was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Bridgeport, PA. Julia worked as a machine operator for the former Hosey's in Bridgeport, PA and Stauffer's in King of Prussia, PA. She also worked for 33 years side by side with her husband, owning and serving the Philadelphia Inquirer in the surrounding area. Born in Bridgeport, PA on January 24, 1925, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Rosaria (Cantello) D'Ambrosia. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 62 years, Louis A. Gilette; two sons, Louis D. Gilette and his wife, Joyce of Glassboro, NJ and James J. Gilette, Sr. and his wife, Eva of Norristown, PA; 6 grandchildren: Anthony, Timothy, Eliana, James J. Jr., Joshua and Justin; 5 great-grandchildren: Brodie, Scott, Skylar, Alexander and Lauren; three sisters: Mary Gilette, Louise Lance, and Theresa Alessandrini, all of Bridgeport, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She is preceded in death by a brother, James D'Ambrosia and a sister, Rose Patraw.Relatives and friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 502 Ford St., Bridgeport, PA 19405 on Saturday, October 2, 2010 at 10:00am. Her viewing will be Saturday morning from 8:30 to 9:50am, at the church. Interment in St. Augustine Cemetery in King of Prussia, PA.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Julia's memory to Samaritan Hospice, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300, Marlton, NJ 08053.
