Julie M. Bigoski

Julia M. "Julie" (Makowiak) Bigoski passed away peacefully on Monday, August 3, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Eagleville, PA. She was 60. Mrs. Bigoski died after a 6-year courageous battle with inflammatory breast cancer. She worked as a registered nurse for Aetna's Medicare Unit in King of Prussia, PA, Montgomery Home Care & Hospice and the former Sacred Heart Hospital in Norristown, PA. She graduated from Upper Merion Senior High School, Class of 1967 and St. Joseph's School of Nursing in Reading, Pa, Class of 1970. Julie was a member of Visitation B.V.M. Church in Trooper PA. She had a zest and passion for life that was contagious. She touched everyone around her with a special, positive energy. Julie's greatest joy in life was her three children and she lived for family gatherings and holiday celebrations. Her hobbies included baking (especially her "famous" chocolate cakes), spending time with family, sewing, and she was a big fan of QVC. Born in Norristown, PA on July 25, 1949, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Pauline T. (Wargo) Makowiak. Surviving are her loving family including her beloved husband of 35 years, John "Jack" Bigoski; two sons, Thomas M. Bigoski and his wife, Amanda of Haymarket, VA and Stephen M. Bigoski and his partner, Frank Farmer of Conshohocken, PA; a daughter, Amy M. Saporetti and her husband, Michael of Denver, PA; a brother, Stephen M. Makowiak and his wife, Susan of N. Coventry, PA; three sisters, Roseanne Makowiak and her partner, Sal Provanzano of Parkland, FL, Jeannie T. Messantonio and her husband, Robert of Plymouth Meeting, PA and Christine D. "Tina" Martyniuk and her husband, Thomas of Phoenixville, PA; and nephews and nieces: Kimberly, Jeffrey, Mark and Matthew. Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at Visitation B.V.M. Church, 196 N. Trooper Rd., Trooper, PA on Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10:00am. Her viewings will be Friday evening 6 to 8pm, and Saturday morning 8:15 to 9:15am, both at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St. (Rt. 202), Bridgeport, PA 19405.
