June (Pfeifle) Stiles died peacefully after a long illness on Friday, February 11, 2011, surrounded by her loving family at her home in Wayne, PA. She was 81. She was a devoted wife, homemaker, and mother of 5 children and 20 grandchildren.Born in Bethlehem, PA on June 7, 1929, she lived the last 54 years of her life in the Bob White Farms section of Upper Merion Township. She, along with her twin sister Jean McQuade, were daughters of Robert and Clara (Boehmer) Pfeifle and grand-daughters of former long time Mayor Robert Pfeifle, of Bethlehem, PA. June graduated from Bethlehem (Liberty) High School in 1947 and as Class Secretary, chaired the class reunions for 55 years. She was a cheerleader and active in several sports. She went on to receive her RN in Nursing from St. Lukes Hospital School of Nursing in Bethlehem in 1951. After her marriage to Richard L. Stiles in 1952, she moved to the Philadelphia suburbs. June continued her nursing career as a school nurse in the Upper Merion Area School District and by extensive private duty cases. She was active in her church, Mother of Divine Providence, as Eucharistic Minister, Charismatic Prayer Group Leader, RCIA, as well as weekly cleaning of the church. She was instrumental in bringing the Catholic Cable Television Station EWTN to the King of Prussia area.She is survived by her husband of 58 years; daughters, Linda (Peter) Korpel of Swedesburg, Mary (Mark) Gleason of Dunwoody, GA, Kathryn McCaney of Lansdale and Jane (Mark) Lobeck of Lancaster, and a son, Richard L. (Nancy) Stiles of Lederach. The 20 grandchildren are Laura and David Korpel; Kristine, Jonathon, Niyereth, and Alejandra Gleason; Alyssa, Richard, and Monica Stiles; Kaitlin, Edward, and Daniel McCaney; Alexandra, Mark, Timothy, Mary, John, Joseph, Samuel and Elizabeth Lobeck. She was preceded in death by her sister, Jean.Relatives and friends are invited to June's Funeral Mass at Mother of Divine Providence Church, 333 Allendale Rd., King of Prussia, PA 19406 on Wednesday, February 16, 2011 at 10am. June's viewings will be Tuesday evening from 6 to 8pm at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd. 805 DeKalb St. (Route 202) Bridgeport, PA 19405 and Wednesday morning from 9 to 9:50am, at Mother of Divine Providence Church. Interment will be at 1pm on Wednesday at Nisky Hill Cemetery in Bethlehem.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in June's name to the above church. www.bacchifuneralhome.com
