Karen Ann Brennen

Karen A. Brennen, age75, passed away peacefully with family by her side after a short illness on Friday September 29, 2023 at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Pomona, NJ. Known lovingly by her family as Nan, she was a resident of Absecon, NJ and a former resident of King of Prussia, PA. She worked in the auditing department of Sears Roebuck for 22 years and then for Wyeth Labs in Malvern, PA for 15 years. Karen loved going to the beach in Cape May, NJ, reading a good book, working with ceramics, tending to her plants and flowers, and watching the Eagles. She especially adored her beloved cat, Buddy.

Born in Norristown, PA on March 13, 1948, she was a daughter of the late Francis J. and Rita M. (DeWan) Brennen.

Surviving is her loving family including her sister, Joan Hughes (Jim) of Absecon, NJ; 3 nieces, Susan Ganard (Tom), Cynthia Freely (Evan), and Valerie Kane (Matt); a great niece, Kayla; 7 great nephews, Matthew (Kaitlyn), Colin (Jacqueline), Ryan, Ethan, James, Jacob, and Owen; 2 great great nieces, Evelyn and Frances; and her very best friend, Carol Aviola.

Relatives and friends are invited to Karen’s viewing at Sacred Heart Church, 120 Jefferson St. Bridgeport, PA on Friday, October 6, 2023 from 9:30-10:15am, with her Funeral Mass beginning at 10:30am. Interment will be at St. Augustine Cemetery, King of Prussia, PA.
