Karen Vivian Weir

Karen Vivian Weir (nee Summerlin), 82, passed away at home in Flourtown, Pennsylvania, on October 31, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. Born in Philadelphia on April 24, 1944, Karen was survived by her sister Joan Cunning and predeceased by her sister Eleanor Salzmann.

Karen was the beloved wife and best friend of the late Neil J. Weir, with whom she shared over 60 years of marriage prior to his passing in 2021. Together, they built a warm home and a family defined by love, generosity, and strong bonds with friends and relatives.

She is survived by her children, Michael Weir (Brenda) and Linda Weir Kerper; her four grandchildren, Christine, Morgan, Madison, and Elisabeth; three great-grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter. In addition to her husband Neil, she was predeceased by her son-in-law, Charles "Charlie" Kerper.

Arrangements are being handled by Szpindor-Meyers Funeral Home, PC, of Trooper, PA. Services and interment will be held privately by the family. A celebration of Karen’s life will be held for family and friends at a later date.
