Karenann S. Young

Karenann S. (Zelenak) Young passed away suddenly on Friday, November 19, 2021 at Suburban Community Hospital in E. Norriton, PA. She was 59. Karenann graduated from Upper Merion High School, where she met her high school sweetheart and love of her life for the past 43 years, Rory. She worked as a Chief Operations Officer for Agora Cyber Charter School and was previously employed by the Montgomery Co. Mental Health and the American Heart Association. Karenann loved her job and all of her co-workers and all of her co-workers adored her. She enjoyed going to Long Beach Island, coffee, painting, the color purple and her one true passion was painting her nails. Karenann adored all of her dogs: Dinky, Jamie, Winston, Zoey, Gizmo, Toby, Oscar, and her favorite Lola and fiercely loved her family and friends. She loved riding around in her prized possession, the purple striped Cadillac, with Gizmo. Born in Birmingham, AL on December 21, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Bernard E. “Bob” and Rita M. (Guerrieri) Zelenak. Surviving are her loving family including her husband of 36 years, Rory W. Young; two sons, Mark and Christopher Young; a brother, Michael A. Zelenak and his wife, Robin; nephews, Zachary, Austin, Timothy, and Brian and nieces, Emily and Caitlin; great nieces, Amanda and Ashley; sister-in-law, Joyce Hankin and her husband, Brian; brother-in-law, William Knoeller and his wife, Gloria; best friend, Jeanene Kegel; Chris Moran and family and Ted Flynn and family; and many other loving family members and friends. She is preceded in death by a brother, Mark Zelenak and her parent-in-laws, Hap and Marion Young. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing at The Bacchi Funeral Home & Crematory, 805 DeKalb St., (Rt 202) Bridgeport, PA on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12 noon, with her funeral service starting at 12 noon. Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Conshohocken, PA. Her family asks everyone that will attend to please wear a mask.
