Katharine G. 'Kaye' Stalker

Katharine G. “Kaye” (Grab) Stalker passed away peacefully on Friday, November 6, 2015 at the Columbia Cottage in Collegeville, PA.  She was 96.  Kaye was a resident of King of Prussia, PA.  She had worked as an office manager for the Saturday Evening Post, but spent most of her life taking care of her home and her family.  Kaye was a member of the Women’s Club of Upper Merion since 1957 and served several times as its president.  She was a devoted church member, a volunteer for Meals on Wheels, and a volunteer for the gift shop of the former Montgomery Hospital for over thirty-five years.  Kaye looked forward to her pinochle and bridge groups and especially enjoyed shopping for bargains. Born in St. Paul, MN on October 1, 1919, she was the daughter of the late William and Bertha (Wisch) Grab.  Surviving is her loving family including a daughter, Carol J. Gerhart and her husband, Mark, of Trappe, PA; a son, Barry G. Stalker and his wife, Doreen, of King of Prussia, PA; and a sister, Betty Traugott of Whitehall, PA.  She is also survived by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren along with her nieces and nephews.  Kaye was preceded in death by her husband, Colonel George C. Stalker, Jr., a brother, William Grab, and a sister, Claire Cook. Relatives and friends are invited to Kaye’s funeral service at the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 132 E. Valley Forge Road, King of Prussia, PA on Wednesday, November 11, 2015 at 9:30 am.  Her viewing will be Wednesday from 8:30 to 9:20 am, at the church.  Interment will be in Arlington Cemetery, Drexel Hill, PA.   In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Lutheran Church of the Good Shepherd, 132 E.
