Kathryn Ann Allen

September 20, 1951 — March 9, 2024

Kathryn Allen of Jenkintown, PA died unexpectedly on March 9, 2024. Kathryn was born on September 20, 1951 in Greenfield, MA, daughter of the late John and Nancy Allen. She was educated at Mount St Joseph Academy, Gwynedd Mercy College, and Greenfield Community College.

Kathryn is survived by her two sisters Sharon Henrichon (Gerard), Lisa Class (Steve), and brother Christopher Allen (Regina). Kathyn also had four stepsisters, Barbara Allen, Diane Rojas (David), Judy Bass (John), and the late Susie Caldwell (Don). She is also survived by her wonderful stepmother, Elizabeth “Betty” Allen of Richardson, TX. She was the loving aunt of Elissa Chambers (Jon), Cait Scanlan (Dan), Jeremy Henrichon, Melissa Fellows (Pete), and Michael Allen; and the great Aunt to her three great nephews who she absolutely adored, Jackson, Parker, and Mason.

Kathryn brought joy to everyone she interacted with and had a wit about her like no other. She had a deep love for her family and friends. One of her greatest joys in life, besides time with her family and friends, was gardening. Kathryn had quite the green thumb. She could often be found outside planting flowers and taking care of her garden which everyone in her apartment complex loved. She was an extremely hard worker who enjoyed working in retail, especially the past six years with her HomeGoods family. Kathryn also loved the beach, the Beatles, and reading. Oftentimes, Kathryn could be found cruising around and smiling in her yellow Volkswagen Beetle, “The Peep”.

Kathryn will be deeply missed and will forever be in our hearts. A memorial mass will be held in her honor at 10:30 AM on Friday, March 22, 2024, at Immaculate Conception BVM, located at 604 West Avenue, Jenkintown, PA 19046.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Kathryn's honor to Redeemer Valley Farm or the American Red Cross Blood Services.
