Kathy L. (Gilbert) Friend

Kathy L. (Gilbert) Friend passed away peacefully after a long battle with cancer, on Monday, July 9, 2012, surrounded by her loving family at her residence in Eagleville, PA. She was 58. Kathy worked as a nurse's assistant. She loved all kinds of arts and crafts, Wildwood, the casinos and country and Reggae music. Most of all, Kathy loved spending time with her family. Born in Norristown, PA on April 1, 1954, she was a daughter of Ralph and Kathryn (Hallman) Gilbert. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 41 years, Richard J. Friend; two sons, Richard J. Friend, III and his wife, Dianne, of Abington, PA and Michael P. Friend and his wife, Darlene, of Phoenixville, PA; a daughter, April L. Sheldon and her husband, Kevin, of Birdsboro, PA; five grandchildren: Andrew, Natalie, Ryan, Emily and Carter; a brother, Ralph Gilbert and his wife, Judy, of Lancaster, PA; a sister, Donna Creamer and her husband, John, of Yakima, WA; and many nephews and nieces.Funeral services and interment will be private at the request of the family.Arrangements are by The Bacchi Funeral Home and Crematory, Ltd., Bridgeport, PA. www.bacchifuneralhome.com
