Kay (Harclerode) Simmons

Kay (Harclerode) Simmons passed away suddenly on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at her residence in King of Prussia, PA. She was 60. Kay was a member of Valley Forge Presbyterian Church in King of Prussia. She enjoyed quilting and loved her dogs, Rudy and Oliver. Kay was greatly loved by all of her nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews, who were swaddled in her beautiful handmade quilts. Born in Columbus, Ohio on March 23, 1954, she was a daughter of the late Paul I. and Florence (Courtot) Harclerode. Surviving is her loving family including her husband of 28 years, Michael A. Simmons; two daughters, Kim & Hoe Lee of Hearndon, VA and Jacqueline Simmons of Pottstown, PA; two grandsons, Gavin and Hunter; two brothers, Paul J. & Barbara Harclerode of Harleysville, PA and David A. Harclerode of Phoenixville, PA; two sisters, Ann H. & Frank Janoski of Gulph Mills, PA and Susan H. & Ken Kooistra of Schwenksville, PA; and many other loving family members. Kay's Funeral Service will be held at the Valley Forge Presbyterian Church, 191 Town Center Rd., King of Prussia, PA on Thursday, March 19, 2015 at 11:00 am. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10 to 10:50 am, at the church. Interment will be in Valley Forge Memorial Gardens, King of Prussia.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Kay's memory to the Montgomery County SPCA, 19 E.
