Lawrence F. Olsen

Lawrence F. Olsen passed away peacefully on Friday, August 28, 2020 at Jefferson Torresdale Hospital in Philadelphia, PA. He was 76. Mr. Olsen was a resident of Bensalem, PA and was a member of St. Ephrem Church in Bensalem, PA. Lawrence married his wife, Irene in 1971 and started a family in 1974. He worked as an Elevator Engineer for Otis Elevator Co. for many years and was a member of the Elevator Union Local 5. Lawrence always enjoyed fixing things. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus Saint Katharine Drexel, and the American Legion. Lawrence was an US Air Force Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. Born in Delaware Valley, PA on July 31, 1944, he was the son of the late Lawrence Aloysius and Ella (McGee) Olsen. Surviving are his loving family including his wife of 49 years, Irene M. (Kelton) Olsen; daughter, Caryn James and her children: Kristi Olsen, Thomas, Kevin (Rachel), Jessie, Joseph, & Colin; son, Larry (Brenda) Olsen and their son, Brandon; daughter, Nancy (Mike) Stewart and their children: Jack & Charlee; son, Michael Olsen; 3 great-grandchildren: Kristi children: Samuel Olsen, Ella Olsen & Dean Brady; a sister, Ella (the late John) DiPete; and many other loving family members. Relatives and friends are invited to attend Lawrence’s viewing on Thursday, September 3, 2020 from 9:30-10:45 AM followed by his funeral mass at 11 AM both at St. Ephrem Church 5400 Hulmeville Rd.
