Leboria (Lee) Theresa Reres Gallagher was born the oldest daughter to a Sicilian-American family in Brooklyn, NY on December 22, 1931. She began working at an Italian bakery at 12 years old to help support her family and care for her 3 younger siblings. Voted Most Popular her senior year in High School, she went on to work at Lever Brothers in the new, all glass office building on Park Avenue, Manhattan and attend night classes at Brooklyn College after her graduation. On a Sunday afternoon in 1952, she met her husband Vince Gallagher on a blind date and their whirlwind love story endured his deployment to the Korean War. They were married Nov 22, 1953 and had two beloved sons, John and Vincent. Together they worked hard, started and grew a business, partnered in real estate, and achieved success through integrity and determination. Lee was appointed Miss Chesterbrook by her community and achieved a Lifetime Achievement Award as a realtor with Re/Max Main Line in 2005. She and Vince enjoyed retirement with winters in Florida and Lee celebrated her 90th birthday with friends and family in 2021. She enjoyed mystery novels, fresh flowers, occasional trips to the casino, and quality time with her friends and family. Good food was a hallmark of the Gallagher house and they gathered their family around the table for decades of delicious Italian meals. On November 22, 2023 they celebrated their 70th anniversary together, and Lee passed just 10 days shy of her 92nd birthday. She joins her beloved son John in heaven. She is survived by her loving husband Vince, her son Vincent, daughter-in-law Amy, Granddaughter Catherine and her family, Micah and Sienna, her grandson John and his family, Heaven and Gianna, and her grandson Michael and his wife Alayna. Her legacy of beauty, grit, commitment, and unconditional love lives on in our hearts forever.
