Lena J. Thorp

Lena J. Thorp age 90 of Abington, PA passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, October 17, 2019. Born in Abington, she was the daughter to the late René and Marianne Flacco. Her husband of 39 years, William A., passed away in 1986. A devout Catholic, she was a former member of St. John of the Cross in Roslyn, PA and current member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Horsham. Lena was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a love for travel and always found the best bakery in every country she visited. Lena had a green thumb and took great pride in her home and her gardens. She always lit up when she saw the family pets and enjoyed all animals. Lena is survived by her 4 children, Joanne Howell (Tom), William Jr. (Theresa), Karen Thorp and Carol Reilly (Timothy), 7 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and sister, Peggy Morris. Family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 25, 2019 from 9:50-10:50 AM at St. Catherine of Siena Church 321 Witmer Rd. Horsham, PA 19044 followed by her funeral mass at 11 AM. Her interment will be held in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Catherine of Siena Church. Services entrusted to Joseph J.
