Lenore Irene Runkle

Lenore Irene Runkle, age 86, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at Queenstown Landing in Queenstown, MD. She was one of six children born to Gladys and Ivan Runkle in Shamokin PA in 1938. After her graduation from Lower Merion in Ardmore in 1956, Lenore got a job with the Allen-Bradley Division of Rockwell Automation where she worked inside sales for 42 years. After that position was eliminated, she went with Rumsey Electric in Conshohocken purchasing dept. for 10 years.

She enjoyed being on the water, visits to Ocean City NJ, Chesapeake City, and her 3 trips to Ireland. Her all-time loves were her parents, her great-nephews, John and Chad Schroyer of Maryland, and her cats Bailey and Riley. Lenore was a member of Hope Community Church in King of Prussia, the U.M. Senior Center, and on the board of her condo association. She was treasurer of the Ladies Auxiliary and served at functions for the King of Prussia Volunteer Fire Company for 30 years.

Surviving is her loving family including her nephews and nieces: Robert, Wayne, Jim, Beth, Nancy, and Diane. She is preceded in death by her siblings: Robert Runkle, James Runkle, Margaret Horne, Virginia Runkle, Dorothy Price

Relatives and friends are invited to Lenore’s memorial service at Hope Church at 150 East Beidler Road, King of Prussia, PA 19406 at 12:00pm on Saturday, October 25, 2025.
