Leona A. Adamson

Leona A. (Buler) Adamson passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 11, 2009, surrounded by her loving family at her daughter's residence in Schwenksville, PA. She was 88. Mrs. Adamson was formerly of Norristown, PA. She was a homemaker and also worked for the former Lee Tire Co. in Conshohocken, PA and American Asbestos in Norristown, PA. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Church in Norristown, PA. Leona enjoyed gardening and loved spending time with her family and friends. Born in Norristown, PA on September 21, 1920, she was a daughter of the late George and Catherine (Holmes) Buler. She was the wife of the late Joseph E. Adamson, who died in 1980. Surviving are her loving family including a daughter, Jackie M. Wagner and her husband, Dave of Schwenksville, PA; four sons, Joseph G. Adamson and his wife, Violet of Stockton, MO, Robert E. Adamson and his wife, Catherine of Eagleville, PA, Richard Adamson and his wife, Beth Smith of Birdsboro, PA and David T. Adamson of Birdsboro, PA; 15 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; a brother, George Buler and his wife, Martha of Cape Cod, MA; a sister, Kathleen Bateman of Norristown, PA; and many nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by 4 sisters. Relatives & friends are invited to her Funeral Mass at St. Francis of Assisi Church, 600 Hamilton St., Norristown, PA 19401 on Monday, March 16, 2009 at 11:00am. Her viewings will be Sunday evening from 6 to 8:00pm, and Monday morning from 9:30 to 10:20am, both at The Bacchi-Courtney Funeral Home & Crematory, Ltd., 805 DeKalb St., Bridgeport, PA 19405.
