Lido Pistagnesi

Lido Pistagnesi, age 90, of Bensalem, PA, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 31, 2025, surrounded by his devoted family.

Born in Italy on April 15, 1935, Lido immigrated to the United States with his family and was raised in Bristol, PA. A proud graduate of Bristol High School, he went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Villanova University. Shortly after college, Lido enlisted in the United States Army, where his service led him back to Italy—and to the love of his life, Daniela. They married in Venice, Italy and later settled in Bensalem, PA, where they built a beautiful life together.

Lido and Daniela shared a deep and enduring bond, growing stronger through life’s joys and challenges. He found peace in gardening, which became his lifelong passion. He also enjoyed boating, fishing, and crabbing—always happiest near the water and among nature.

Lido is survived by his beloved daughter, Annalisa, and son-in-law, James McDermott; his cherished grandchildren, Heather, Nicole, and Kevin; his sister, Theresa Sozio (née Pistagnesi); and his brother, Vincent Pistagnesi. He will be lovingly remembered by many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

He is now reunited with his beloved wife, Daniela; his daughter, Mary Grace; and his son, Alexander.

Family and friends are invited to attend Lido’s viewing on Saturday, September 6, 2025, from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at St. Ephrem Church, 5201 Hulmeville Road, Bensalem, PA 19020. A Funeral Mass will follow at 11:30 AM.

Interment will take place at Resurrection Cemetery in Bensalem, PA.
