Lillian Souza

Lillian (Lil) Souza, born April 24, 1933, daughter of James Earl Clark and Edna (Bohlman) Clark, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 68 years, LeRoy (Lee) Souza, daughters Laura Bonstingl and Lynne Shinozaki (Michael), grandchildren Brent Bonstingl, Kristin Schrenzel ( Adam), Joseph Strong, Haley Strong and Mark Strong Shinozaki.

Lil was born in Los Angeles and grew up in Yreka, California. She was the communications manager for the FBI in San Francisco where she met her husband, Lee. They traveled around the country, settling in King of Prussia Pennsylvania with their two young daughters.

Lil was smart. She was a whiz at crossword puzzles and math. She went back to school to obtain a paralegal degree. Lil worked for the Upper Merion Police Department for many years, retiring in 2014.

She was an excellent seamstress and a wonderful baker. The biggest requests from her family for Christmas were her banana bread and candied sweet potatoes. The best gift of all was her boundless love for her family. Lil was a strong, kind, compassionate woman. She was sweet and loved by everyone she met. She will be so very missed.
