Linwood W. Bennett passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2021. He was 90. Mr. Bennett was a resident of Bridgeport, PA. He worked as a teacher of Auto Body at Central Montco Technical High School in Norristown, PA. Linwood was a member of the former Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church and Bridgeport Fire Company No. 1. He was a US Navy veteran of the Korean Conflict. Born in Sanford, Maine on December 15, 1930, he was a son of the late Roland and Eva M. (LaFlamme) Bennett; and the husband of the late Doris (DiFillippo) Bennett. Surviving is his loving family including a daughter, Marianne Wanczyk and son-in-law, Steven Wanczyk, Sr.; two grandchildren, Steven M. Wanczyk, Jr. and his wife, Melissa, and Melissa A. Savage and her husband, Christopher; two great-grandchildren, Luke S. Wanczyk and Clara C. Wanczyk; a sister, Joann Murray; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by seven brothers and sisters. Funeral services and interment will be private.
