Lisa Marrocco (née Hollinger), daughter of Ann (née Stover) and James Hollinger, died April 29, 2023 after multiple hospitalizations following surgery to address esophageal cancer. She was 63 years old. She is mourned by her family – brothers Scott and Michael, sisters-in-law Cheryl and Megan, former husband Lou, nieces Lauren and Willa, nephews Joshua and Benjamin, and numerous cousins – as well as by her friends, neighbors, and co-workers.
Lisa spent much of her working life in high-end retail clothing sales, most recently at Neiman-Marcus King of Prussia, where she specialized in furs and coats. Her keen fashion sense and sensitivity to her customers’ needs fostered remarkable client loyalty, sometimes over the course of decades. Her own taste favored simple, elegant ensembles, so that even when casually clothed, she was always the sharpest dresser in the room.
Lisa had an infectious laugh, a brilliant smile, and a wry sense of humor; when referring to the stakes of her job, she’d often say, “I’m not saving lives, I’m outfitting them.” She had an eye for the quirky and colorful, the playful, oddball, and dark. Her favorite stuffie – a constant companion during her recent stays in medical facilities -- was a smiling colon, a gift from Philadelphia’s Mutter Museum, which she named Zoë. She was both sentimental and macabre, loved The Walking Dead and The Waltons with equal fervor, and made the best Thanksgiving pies each year (topped with her trademark ginger-infused whipped cream, of course).
We will miss all that she was, to so many.
Services and interment are private at the convenience of the family. Condolences: www.McGoldrickFH.com
