Lisa A. Petosa (nee Zaro), age 60, of North Wales, PA passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 7, 2024. Lisa was born in Abington, PA to the late Louise P. (DiDomenico) and the late Joseph R. Zaro.
Beloved wife of Charles A. Petosa, loving mother to Maria Petosa-Lubaway (David) and Victoria Kita (Michael). Cherished Mommom to Harper and Charlotte. Lisa is survived by her mother-in-law, Rita Petosa, and sister-in-law, Natalie Petosa. Lisa is also survived by her brother, Joseph A. Zaro, (Tina), a niece, Gabrielle Imossi (Steve), a grandniece Renee, and a nephew, Thomas Zaro, as well as many treasured cousins and friends.
Lisa took great pride in her home and took the utmost satisfaction in hosting family dinners and decorating for holidays, especially Christmas. Christmas tree decorating remained a whole family affair, even after her children left and started their own families, as her daughters (along with their husbands) would often return to help decorate the tree, which was not fully decorated until there was no empty branch to spare and the myriad ornament boxes were empty.
Lisa took after her mother in her love of flowers and plants, both inside and out. She was masterful at tending to plants and helping them to thrive, as well as organizing arrangements with cut flowers. Her greatest joy, however, came from making memories with those closest to her. She was always up for an adventure, big or small, whether it was a trip to the tulip farm, walking around downtown Annapolis, MD, or just having ice cream at the local dairy farm.
Lisa loved spending time by the ocean and took such delight in annual trips to Wildwood, NJ with her entire family. She most enjoyed Key West, Florida, a place that brought her so much joy, despite her ever-increasing health challenges. More than anything, her granddaughters, Harper and Charlotte, were the light of her life. Lisa’s “babies” colored her world and filled her with pride and joy that overcame her illness.
Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday, October 12th from 9:30 to10:45 AM, followed by her funeral mass at 11 AM at St. Luke the Evangelist Church, 2316 Fairhill Ave. Glenside, PA 19038. Her interment will be held at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Susan G. Komen (komen.org) or Jefferson Abington Hospital – Asplundh Cancer Pavilion/Breast Cancer Research (giving.jefferson.edu).
