Lisa M. (Swede) Ronan passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at her residence in Hatfield, PA. She was 55.
Lisa was born in Norristown, PA, on December 11, 1970, to the late Teddy F. and Elizabeth “Betty” A. (DeMeno) Swede. She graduated from Plymouth Whitemarsh High School, Class of 1988, and received her Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Special Education from Gwynedd Mercy University, Class of 2002.
Lisa was a woman of faith; she believed that everything happens for a reason and in living every day to the fullest. She truly lived out God’s purpose for her, bringing light to the lives of so many. Lisa was a loving caregiver to her parents and anyone who needed help. Her favorite pastimes included spending time with family and friends—especially her granddaughters—as well as gardening, planning parties and gatherings, and all things Disney.
Lisa is survived by her loving family, including her husband of 35 years, William R. Ronan; two daughters, Laurie Ronan and her husband, Jim Davanzo, and Elizabeth Dierkes and her husband, James; two granddaughters, Abigail and Caroline Dierkes; her aunt, Gloria Swede; her mother-in-law, Doris Ronan; and many other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death, in addition to her parents, by her uncle, Joseph Swede, and her father-in-law, Gerald Ronan.
Relatives and friends are invited to her graveside service at St. Augustine Cemetery, 175 West DeKalb Pike, King of Prussia, PA, on Saturday, May 2, 2026, at 11:00 a.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in her memory to the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Three Bala Plaza West, Suite 700, 251 St. Asaphs Road, Bala Cynwyd, PA 19004, or at www.wish.org. In the memo, please write “In loving memory of Lisa Ronan.”
